Youths in Zomba City Centre have been urged to vote in the forthcoming general elections and desist from being used by politicians as tools of fueling political violence in their respective areas.

Mwenegamba: Youths are a crucial stakeholder.
Project Officer for The Institute for Policy Interaction(IPI), Praise Gospel Mwenegamba, made the remarks during a round table discussion held at Zomba CCAP Primary School, aimed at lobbying the youth for a peaceful election.
Mwenegamba said IPI initiated the Malawi Electoral Support Project on a campaign of Get-Out-The-Vote, which emphasises the participation of the youth, women and marginalised communities in the general elections.
On his part, Group Village Headman Chikanda applauded the efforts which IPI has put in place to civic educate the communities, especially the youth, about the dos and don’ts of elections.
Echoing the sentiments, aspiring DDP Chambo ward Councillor, Julian Phiri, expressed satisfaction with the campaign, saying it is an eye-opener to the youth to know the electoral process
